Pay Frequency
Pay frequency tells the program how often you pay the person. This is used by the program to calculate the withholding and other taxes for the employee.
The available options are:
WEEKLY: every week, there are 52 pay periods in a year.
BI-WEEKLY: every other week, there are 26 pay periods in a year.
SEMI-MONTHLY: twice a month, typically the 1st and 15th. There are 24 pay periods in a year.
MONTHLY: once a month, there are 12 pay periods in a year.
AUTO PAY WHEN DELIVERED: This is used to tell the program to automatically import all loads that are delivered during a pay period and any previous loads that have not yet been paid. This is the simplest method to use and will automate most of your payroll for you.
LET ME SELECT PRO NUMBERS: This method is used to allow you to select, from a list of unpaid Pro Numbers, the ones which you want to pay for the current pay period. After you select the Pro Numbers you want to pay you will need to IMPORT the payroll in order to have any deductions, driver advances and reimbursed expenses that are outstanding brought into the program for you. If there are then any of these items you do not want to process in this current payroll you will delete them before exporting the payroll. More on this in the section on Running Payroll.
Again - be sure to click the Quick Tip and watch the tutor for the section. Some of the information will be redundant, but reading it and seeing it on the screen has a way of making it more understandable.
