Assign Truck

This popup is used to assign the truck to a driver it will appear automatically at the end of the Payroll Setup section (when you click SAVE to save the payroll setup.

SLIP SEATING DRIVER: SLIP SEAT means that drivers are not assigned to a specific truck for an extended period of time. IF YOU SLIP SEAT setup up a truck named SLIP in your MAINTENANCE section and then assign all drivers who are SLIP seated to truck SLIP.
NOTE: This is a special truck name that tells the program to allow the driver to freely move from truck to truck so use this for Slip Seating.

SALARIED EMPLOYEES: For those on a salary assign them to truck N/A which will be in your trucks list.

DATE: Enter the date the driver was assigned to the truck. The program will use that truck as the one assigned beginning on that date. It is best practice to assign a driver to a new truck at the end of the day rather than having the driver assigned to two trucks in the same day. The program will stop the old truck assignment on the date entered and start the new truck assignment effective on that date. FOR PAYROLL the driver assigned in the LOADS (Pickup/Deliver) section will be the driver paid for that load.

TRUCK: Select the truck from the DROP DOWN - YOU CANNOT ENTER A TRUCK NUMBER HERE. Trucks must be in your Maintenance section in order to be used in the Truck Assignment. If a truck number doesn't appear in the drop down then it's not entered or is not Active in the Maintenance section.

DRIVER CODE: This is an automatic field and will be filled in by the program.

NOTE: Grayed out fields are program fields and cannot be edited by the user.
