While this program will work equally well for almost any type of trucking operation it's aimed primarily at the small to medium sized fleet which is generally organized as a sole proprietorship, LLC, S Corp or a similar pass through type of organization. This organizational structure is also shared by most leased owner/operators and company drivers. The program comes in two versions, the One Truck which is designed and provides tools specifically for the company driver and the leased owner/operator and the Fleet version which is designed for anyone who needs to do billing from the single truck owner/operator running his own authority to a fleet with 2 or more trucks. The author's experience and expertise is primarily in these areas and thus you will find this manual and the program in general to be slanted towards these types of operations.

 

This program has grown out of the experience and the needs of tens of thousands of truckers just like you. The original version started as a single truck program designed for a leased owner/operator and was written to meet the needs of the author and founder of Truckers Helper. It grew from there and as the needs of the program's users grew from one truck to hundreds, their needs and expertise were used to build the current version of the program. It was designed not to meet the specific needs of a single user, but rather to meet the needs of a wide range of truckers who ran a wide range of different types of operations. As such great flexibility has been built into the program so that it will serve the needs of the logger in the northwest as well as the over the road refer company hauling food across the nation. We have car haulers and wrecking companies, over the road companies and local sand and gravel haulers. Our users haul everything from fuel and groceries to containers and gravel. In order to do this a little adapting may be necessary. You'll find that the program may not function exactly the way you're used to doing things, but with a little adapting on your part the program is capable of handling most types of trucking operations. Truckers Helper is a complete trucking package as well as a work in progress. The program will never be 'FINISHED' as the needs of the industry keep changing and Truckers Helper keeps changing with them.
