Setup EmployeesThe name of this section, DRIVER RECORD. is a little misleading as this is actually an EMPLOYEE record. This same page is used for setting up ALL employees. This includes, Office, Maintenance and any other salaried employees, company drivers (those who are driving your truck) and leased owner/operators. It does not include outside contractors, those who run under their own authority.
COMPANY DRIVERS AS CONTRACTORS - please refer to the article WHO'S AN EMPLOYEE for details on this topic. Treating employee's as contractors will save you a dollar today and put you out of business tomorrow. BE SURE before you attempt to treat company drivers as contractors.
