How To Use The Register

 
The account register is very easy to use. You can use it to search for a transaction that you know if there but don't remember the details on to find it using the find function. You can easily move from the register to an individual transaction and you can set up and maintain a budget here. Another very useful feature is to use the register to check on entries you've made to be sure they are in the register and in the right place with the desired effect (ie they raised or lowered the balance for the account as intended). We have talked a little about that functionality in a few other places in this manual.
 
To use the register start by clicking the table for the type of account you want to access. For example is we wanted to look at entries in the Maint/Repair section we'd click on Charge To Accounts firs to display the list of accounts and then click on the Maint/Repair account -
The program will then display the Maint/Repair account -
If you then want to access a particular entry mouse over the entry to highlight it and then left click on it and the program will open that transaction in the Income & Expense section.
