FuelThe basics of entering fuel were covered in the previous Expenses section. Since that was our first fuel entry we did not get a MPG report on that purchase. For our second entry we entered 600 miles and purchased 100 gallons of fuel. When we saved the entry we got the MPG popup -
Miles Per Gallon is based on the assumption that you have a fill up. If you provide a HUB READING then the program will assume that you got a fill up and will calculate the MPG based on the miles/gallons formula. If you get a partial enter zero (0) in the hub reading box and the program will not run the MPG. Later when you do fill up enter the hub (odometer) reading and program will total up the partials, and use that to calculate your overall MPG since the last fill up.
