Change OdometerOccasionally an odometer will go bad and need to be replaced. This function will allow you to install a new or used odometer and then tell the mileage records to restart from that new mileage.
Click CHANGE ODOMETER and the popup will appear -
Click the OK button and you'll get the Change Odometer box -
Enter the new odometer reading in the box and then enter or select from the calendar widger the effective date for the new odometer. For out example we entered 20000. Click ADD and the program will create a special entry for this change.
You can finish entering this screen if you are in the middle of a trip or you can edit the Mileage section at this point. The record has been created with the new ending hub you entered as the ending hub for this trip, the trip has been numbered as trip 0, and the Pro Number is set to ODOMETER CHANGE which is a special Pro Number used by the program. If you finish the page it will be added to the mileage as the next record and will pick up where the Ending hub you entered left off.
The program will still total the miles for the quarter correctly as long as you follow this process for changing the odometer.
Note: A WORD TO THE WISE - do not use this function on a regular basis to change the odometer and eliminate miles that were run 'off record'. Doing so will be obvious to a fuel auditor and can result in issues and fines that you do not want to deal with. Use it as it's intended and you will not have any problems with it.
